This week, it’s all about cool.

Hittin' The LinksThe explosion of youth in the golf world has done wonders for the game. Golf is now cool. Thanks to the young guns, golfers are now athletes and golf is considered a sport. This newfound level of awesome is unprecedented in our realm and we can all try to look the part, no matter our handicaps. This week is dedicated to cool equipment, cool apparel, and cool accessories.

Hole 1: Footjoy Classics Dry Premiere
These half-leather half-faux-gator cleats are just about the smoothest shoes on the planet. The brown on black two-tone color scheme looks classy with a variety of pant and shirt combination. Plus, its a FootJoy, you know you’re getting quality goods. [Link]

Hole 2: Oakley Thump 2
I’m going to be honest, I thought the original Oakley Thumps were pieces of garbage, especially the Lil’ John version. They were big, clunky, and flamboyant. However, it looks like Oakley got it right with the Thump 2. They’re much slimmer, much less arrogant, and much better looking. Camilo Villegas is one of the coolest guys on tour, and his attire is a constant conversation piece. This Columbian Slasher is outfitted with some awesome looking threads from Swedish clothier J. Lindeberg as is Jasper Parnevick and countless other swedes on tour. [Link]

Only weak lady-men quit their round early because of a little thunderstorm. This excellent looking rain jacket will do its part to protect you and your fragile body out of the wind and rain without impeding your swing.[Link]

The spin-milled wedges were great, and now they’ve been made just that much better with the newly available oil can finish. This finish is supposed to add a great feel to the wedges and while they are not out as of yet (they arrive in May) it is certain that they up the cool factor. [Link]

This apparel line is full of great looking and excellent performing items. Many of which Charles Howell III has been seen wearing and looking good in. While you may not be able to play like CHIII, you can at least dress like him. [Link]
