They also make a forged production line wedge with a pricetag of 149$. You don't have all the options as with their custom shop, but they do offer a few different grinds and shapes, and far less $ than the custom shop price.

As mentioned in another comment, the clubs are not cheap, but you get what you pay for! The manufacturing process for these wedges is far better than that of most retail rack wedges. The 2009 models are now less $$ and they are making a cast wedge that is $100. Keep in mind that most of the big companies sell cast wedges too.

Looks like a very nice wedge. I must look further into this little one, it's amazing how you find these little gems that many times outdo the big boys.

I'm really surprised at Mike's comments in August. I know I'm coming to this late - but that just shows how valuable the Sand Trap is as a resource for golf equipment afficionados. there really is nowhere else to get such in-depth (and objective) reviews of golf equipment. I constantly use the archived reviews and it has to be one of the most useful resources on the net. Why would anyone want to rubbish such a hard-working and well-meaning website. Erik, Josh and everyone else at The Sandtrap - keep up the great work - 99% of us really appreciate it!!

I have seen them. But for someone that doesn't play as oftin as I would like I can't justify the price. The company also makes iron sets. but those run up in the 1000+ range and again. I don't get paid to play and don't have the money for that. great review. looks like a good product for those that can afford it.
Sounds like he was given the wedge.
Yes. All of our review equipment is given to us for the purpose of writing a review.
If he was so in love with wedges the week before you'd think he'd have mentioned this great company at that time, while reviewing the Feel wedge... at least as a preview of things to come for this article.
Why would he mention another wedge maker when reviewing wedges from another company? No, I would not "think he'd have mentioned" Scratch Golf.
Sounds like he went from zero to custom wedge and oodles of praise in under a week.
And again, you'd be wrong. Josh played had the wedge for several months of play before he wrote the review. Same with the other wedges (by Feel Golf) and the same is true of all reviews we write here at The Sand Trap.
I bet they contacted him after they read the Feel review, and sent him a wedge to his specs, and he conveniently left out this detail.
You'd lose that bet. We spend a helluva lot more time reviewing our products than a week.
Full disclosure would be nice from journalists, but is seldom given from those that specialize in obtaining schwag in excahnge for positive press.
I resent the implication that we give positive reviews simply because we get free equipment (for reviews). We have a clear, concise review policy that you seem to have missed.

Sounds like he was given the wedge.

"As you'll remember from last week, I love wedges, so I had to get fitted for one of their wedges."

If he was so in love with wedges the week before you'd think he'd have mentioned this great company at that time, while reviewing the Feel wedge... at least as a preview of things to come for this article.

How long does it take to turn around a wedge? Sounds like he went from zero to custom wedge and oodles of praise in under a week. And since he has no idea what it should have cost to get that wedge, i.e., $299, he likely didn't pay anything.

"I don't know how I found out about Scratch Golf, but I will say that I was slightly nervous, as I had no experience with them, nor had I heard from anyone who had a wedge built for them in the past".

How does one not know how they found out about a company and still go ahead and order their product? Surely if he was so intrigued by the company that he had to order one of their products the moment in time where the intrigue was kindled must have been imprinted somewhere in his memory?

How did you get the custom black finish from Scratch, when all the custom wedges are $299?

Mr. Premuda,

Based on your article, I ordered a Scratch wedge. I received it a couple of weeks ago and due to vacation and the recent rain in our area, I was not able to use the wedge. Today I did and wow!!!! There is nothing like using a club that is suited to your swing. It has been 7 hours since I practiced and I am still tingling. Thank you so much to introducing me to Scratch Golf.

Cleveland Golf has always been at the forefront of wedges and wedge technology. So let's see how the CG11s stack up to the rest.
