Here's another tip for those of you who’d like to make the “Rescue” move but would like to save a bit of cash.

I own both the 16 an 19 original Rescues but I switched out the shaft to the UST iRod stiff. What a difference!

So, I advise you skip the Dual/TP and purchase the lesser cost original and replace the shaft – you won’t regret the move.

BTW: I never carry an iron under 5 in bag – no need!

I have 2 of these clubs the 2&4 both in the non TP I love them my friends love them the par 5's hate them they are the easiest to hit clubs I have ever tried (I ONLY WISH THEY DID THEM IN A PUTTER MAYBE I WOULD SINK SOME MORE PUTTS).
The ball flight you get off these out of any situation and almost any lie will make you realise you have made a good buy from the second the club face hits the ball and it flies out on it's way back up the fairway.

I have only just found the THE SAND TRAP when looking for a review on the TAYLORMADE BURNER XD

I just ordered myself the 16* and the 19* in the TP model. Little worried about the stock shaft. I've heard through a few buddies that the only Diamana shafts that are worth anything are the White and Red Diamanas. But, I'm sure it will work out just fine. Hybrids are taking over the market, and my golf bag! Didn't think I'd throw out that 2 iron I had, but it looks like I'll be carrying more woods and wedges than irons! I spent $299 for each club, do you think these clubs are worth it? I'm always scared to buy TaylorMade stuff because they come out with something it seems like, a few months later.

Pinemeadow makes affordable clubs, but can they stand up to the stiff competition in the hybrid market?

Don't look now, but 1 and 2 irons have gone the way of persimmon heads. And 3 and 4 irons don't look too safe either. Here's a quick run down on four of the newest hybrids vying for a spot in your bag.

Alpha has jumped into the hybrid market with two offerings. As a small golf club company in a big company market, Alpha has developed quality clubs for years. The RX and V5 Hi-COR hybrids continue that trend.

Probably the 22° hybrid. I have the 19 and it replaced my 2-iron. I still keep my 3-iron, though as often as not I just hit a soft hybrid.

If you have more questions, check out our forum and ask them there.

What to say..... You said it all, I have been scouring the internet to get a comprehensive report on new products but always find the same old story...." Me hit far... You buy"!

I just wanted to say thanks, you addressed all of the questions/issues with the club in a non partial way, and you did it quickly.

Thanks, Lee

Matt Killen is young enough to be PGA Tour winner Kenny Perry's dad. In fact, his best friend IS Kenny Perry's son. Yet he coaches a winner. Find out more about the rising young teaching star in this interview.
