You shouldn't be able to buy your game. It should be based on skill at all levels. And I'm sure that there will be companies that make non-conforming clubs for those that just want to go out and hit long and strait drives into every par 4 to show how manly they are or how much they can afford to spend on a quick and unsporting addition to their game. They want to limit the amount of resistance to twisting? They want to protect the difficulty of hitting the ball straight? If the USGA continues to worry only about the pro game and devise rules that make golf harder for weekend players, ultimately weekend players will decide to ignore the USGA's rules. These guys are divorced from reality and will soon render their own organization irrelevant to weekend players. This is getting ridiculous. They want to limit the amount of resistance to twisting?
