I purchased the Square Woods and was surprised at the poor quality. On the first trip to the driving range, I hit under a ball and the paint on the top of the club chipped. Also, some sand must have been on a ball or 2 and small dings appeared in the face of the clubs.

Who needs a driver or a 3 wood? I do have the Ft-i driver and I had the new 3 wood on demo for a week - I could hit it further (even off the fairway) than its big brother - So its good!

BUT the new FT 2008 Hybrids are a dream.

I am only a 14 handicapper so to be hitting greens in regulation time after time is a dream - I never thought I would see the day when I could even think about going out with just 3 hybrids a SW and a putter!

some of you may have seen my thread on the forums. i was warned about loss of distance in exchange for accuracy, but hey,too much with the stiff Speeder shaft that turns out not to be stiff. so,dig into my pocket for more $$$$ for a shaft that works for me. i'll update in a couple weeks when i get it back.

Great info...... although I do question the price quoted on the Big Bertha Irons.
The pricing for the article is from the press release under Investor Relations and is the Retail Introductory Price.

Steel, $75 per club/$599 per 8-club set; Graphite, $100 per club/$799 per 8-club set

The pricing from the "sneak peak" link is the MSRP:

Steel, MSRP $98 per club/$784 per 8-club set; Graphite, $125 per club/$1,000 per 8-club set
So..how much will these clubs cost me?
Is it a co-incidence that Callaway just happened to call the firmer and longer version of their new ball the X. Sounds suspiciously like a line of balls from another company
Well since it's the Acushnet company that has been infringing on Callaway and Bridgeston's patents, they're the ones that seem suspicious using the "x" in their ball line.
