To my great happiness I found the web site after a friend told me he played the course last week. I did not know of the renovation and am looking forward to making reservations in the fall. Though as you mention $150 can be steep to some, when you consider the scratch it takes to get onto other east-coast resort courses designed by golden-age architects (Pinehurst, Greenbrier, Homestead, Seaview, etc.) this is a ridiculous steal.
