I don't know what it is, but I absolutely cannot putt. It seems as though I can't get anything other than a tap in to fall in. Like the past week I have played every day. My worst round was 74, and my lowest a 71. This is all with 33-35 putts a round. Is there anything online that might be able to help me, or should I go see someone? I'm desperate to try about anything, cause my college tryouts are in less than a month, and I need to putt better.

I would go see somone. I have tried reading stuff online and from books, but none of it works as well as instruction from a pro. Heh, I wish I could shoot that well but not putt very well.

What i do to line up my putt is actually use a bit of the text on the ball as a line and aim that where i want to hit the ball. Then all you have to worry about (As long as you line it up correctly) is how much power to use in your putt.
Worked for me, and knocked approx 10 shots off my round 1st time i tried it.

I do that. I play the ProV1x and use the seam line around the ball. Still, no matter how much practice, how much focus, nothing seems to fall for me. I really don't want to go see someone, just because I've had only one lesson, and didn't like the way it destroyed my swing, so I quit that. Plus, I'm too stubborn to listen to anyones advice most of the time. But, if I have to go see someone, then I guess that's what I'll have to do.

Rotella would say about putting that it's 100% about feel. So forget about the mechanics. Just putt.

Probably the #1 authority on the golfer's mind. I would highly recommend his books. Check out Erik's link he posted and start with "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect" and "Golf is a Game of Confidence".
You'll thank us for it.

I've had luck lining up the text on direction of travel. It gives me some added confidence before striking the ball. Then it's just a matter of speed as was said earlier.
Penick wrote that he was somewhat against the idea but I'm going to use it if it works.

First you have to identify what's wrong (that you can do if you see a PGA Pro). Is it the read? When you aligned the logo - do you see a true roll, or is the loggo wabbling all over? Distance control? There is so many thing you can work on, you have to know what's the issue first. Don't become second Michelson, who (if I remember the stats correctly) missed 18 out of 21 putts inside 10' at the International.... He seems like he's working on the wrong things.
