Was finally sent some pics of Titleists new 905 T driver and the 904 fairway wood. I like the deep face a lot, that was always my biggest pet peev about the 983E/K. Great discounts available on the old Titlist metal woods now. :-D

Great discounts indeed. I'm happy with my 983K (and like the sole design more). Great news, though. Wonder when new irons will be available...

I like the look the Fw almost looks like a newer PT and the driver looks nice at addres but I do agree the indents on the heel are ugly but I hope they look better in person. I want to get the 905z if they decide to release it reatail if not I will be shelling out a lot to get a tour driver.

As always with Titleist, who knows if these dates will come to fruition, I wouldn't use these dates to make any life changing decisions.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, because as little as a month ago people were saying the 695s were going to be on the list somewhere for a June-ish release.

Not really a surpirse but, at the Nissan Open the majority of Titleist playing pros had the 905/904s...

you know after seeing the price of the 983 drop, i was ready for a new driver from titleist to appear. i was sort of hoping that this would be a composite head. cobra has the new 454 comp and i'm sure you are familiar with their relationship with titleist. a 983 comp head would be awesome. i am thinking about going with a composite head but i am not sure which one: cleveland launcher 460 comp, mizuno mp001, or the cobra comp. any suggestions?

If I had to rank retail drivers in order of highest performance, I'd put the Cleveland 460 comp right behind the R7 for best retail driver, it hits the ball far and straight. The stock shaft is a good performer too.

Cobra makes great products, and are frequently underrated. Their SS forged irons are just as good as some of the Titleist offerings, for much less $$$. I say, if you hit it well, go for it.

However, I think the comp drivers have too low a center of gravity for high launch/high spin players. If you already hit a high ball, then I think a traditional titanium offering in a low loft may be a better bet.

Hope that helps.
