I tried to make some changes since my last posting. The things I have tried to change are keeping my left food planted, not coming over the top, and less leg movement, 'if you can believe that from the vids'.

I'm not sure if my swing is on plane now or not. It still looks to me like I come back on a horizontal plane and ending on a rather steep one. I figured it might be possible that my backswing is too horizontal and that might swing might actually be on plane. I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated.

foot stays planted here :)

Still a lot of leg movement as much as I try to keep the left leg flexed slightly.
Left food still slides a bit also.

i actually JUST watched that on swingacademy B-) on the bottom pic, it looks as if you're watching your clubhead back and then focus back to the ball close to the top of your backswing .... dont do that lol keep your eye on the ball the whole time
check out my thread i just started and see if you can tell im doing anything wrong or not

It does look like that doesn't it. I don't think I took my eyes off the target but just tilted my head. I might have though :-D

I'll take a look at your video but if you're a 5 handicap I won't have any comments for you :-O. I don't even understand how some people are so good.

LOTS and LOTS of practice, watching videos and the golf channel honestly got me where my game is today ... if i could putt i'd be a scratch golfer prolly, all you gotta do is work on 100 yds and in, thats the biggest difference in us and the pros

I hear that ^ :-D I started golfing EVERY single day this summer and I only miss a day here and there *leauge night*. I can't even find anyond to go with anymore so now I just show up by myself and play with whoever is on the course. I've got a chance to play with a professor, doctor, and two astrophysicist even.:-)

I haven't yet played with anyone that shoots in the low eighties/high seventies so I hope that happens eventually. The course I play in is cut of trees so one errant shot on some of the holes and it gets ugly. I had six pars on the front the other day and shot a 43 because of a quad, single, and double bogey on the other three holes. :~( Anyway, a five handicap is extremely impressive in my opinion.

honestly the 5 is a guesstimation, i normally shoot low 70s but occasionally hit mid 70s, i went and watched the pros ONCE and i really want to go back, john daly and hank khuene was the group i followed mostly, LONG knockers

Yea I guessed at mine too, I usually shoot between 90-100 so I think mine should be higher. I didn't realize how handicaps worked until recently. Yours sounds right though if you shoot 70-75.
Hell, I just broke 90 for the first time a couple weeks ago :-D. My guess is a 14 handicapper does that more than once :)

Golf is so hard. :~(

golf IS hard, but if you continue to practice and work on your game, you will be breaking 80 in no time, then you'll be trying to stay under par (im trying to stay AT par)

Wow, I just did an analysis of your swing this morning at swing academy. I am by no means and expert but have been playing a long time. I found some alignment and swing plane issues. You are still coming over the top a bit.

Thanks jambalaya, thats the very well drawn analysis. I'll get to working on it immediately. Is there a slow motion video with the lines drawn of someone doing it correctly? I think that would help a lot.

Well I took a look at wilnham's swing on golf academy and did a little analysis. He's on page 2, "2 iron hybrid". Much better swing than mine. Also look at sschweg "7 iron a week later" on page 4. He may have some other things wrong in his swing but he has a really good swing plane.

Hey jambalaya, I tried to fix the swing plane issue, allignment and rolling my wrist. If you get a chance could you take another look at it?

I wish there was an option to private the videos on swingacademy, I feel bad filling up the front page with updated videos.
