Bushnell Pinseek 1500 w/slope:

I still have the original box, warranty card, strap (never used), case, cleaning cloth (never used), instruction booklet. This is the one that has the "slope" +/- technology which compensates yardages for low/elevated greens. It can also give live "roaming" yardages and pick up various object you look at down the fairway.

I got it from Erik and it is in excellent condition. I used it for 3 rounds.

Only thing is the carrying case is missing a buckle, but I didn't use the strap anyway.

Here are some photos:

Can you turn off the slope feature?

Yes, you can use it without the slope, "PINSEEKER" mode, function and get regular, non-slope, yardages. The other mode being a "SCAN"" mode where it will give you live readings at everything you point at. :-)

Even if you can turn it off, it's still illegal, if that's what you're getting at... because how would anyone know you've turned it off? Just having it is against the rules.

You can use it during practice rounds, yeah. You could even use them last year during practice rounds.

$299 for this thing is a great buy, people. They're normally, what, $449 or something?

I guess buy the slope ver. for practice and the one w/o slope for tournament..lol I say for the most part only a handful of players here are involved in USGA sanctioned events..would it be considered "cheating" if this is used during your club's events or regular foursome..?

Technically, yes, but I suggest talking to your greens and handicapping committee. In events, yeah. "Regular foursome" implies just playing, and as I said, it's okay for regular handicap play.
