I'm posting these for my club-ho friend. He's a legitimate 4 handicap, so the clubs have not been beat up. They are in terrific shape.

He is selling his backup set of Callaway X-18's irons. These are the original X-18's with the bore thru shaft, and not the X18R's.

These clubs are in excellent condition. The have the Callaway Uniflex steel shafts and factory Callaway grips.

When he ordered them, he bought the 4-AW, so there is no 3 iron, but you get a gap wedge. Standard length, loft & lie.

4,5,6,7,8,9,PW,AW 8 clubs total.

He's looking for $250 shipped. If you want I will take some more photos, but if you've seen these clubs live, they look just like that, but in really nice shape.

If these are still available in a couple of weeks I might be interested. I want to sell my Nickents and try to make it to Golf Galaxy to make sure what shaft flex I need before I buy new clubs again.

If it is not too much trouble...can you post a couple more pics? How are the grips?

Also, do you know the difference between the 18 and the 18R?

Pics above.... Grips are fine they still retain much of their "tackiness". I took the photos but I am not the best photogropher, but I think they came out OK!

These clubs have the Callaway bore thru shaft, the R series do not. Here is an answer to your exact question from this site:

The jist of it.....
Difference Between Callaway X18R vs Callaway X18 Irons (http://www.driversironsputters.com/difference-between-callaway-x18r-vs-callaway-x18-irons)

by admin | Posted in Callaway Irons (http://www.driversironsputters.com/category/callaway-irons) --> http://s3.odiogo.com/odiogo_listen_now_77x18.gif (http://javascript%3Cb%3E%3C/b%3E:showOdiogoReadNowFrame%20%28%27300883%27,%20%27difference%20between%20callaway%20x18r%20vs%20callaway%20x18%20irons%27,%20% 27548%27,%20290,%2055%29;)
So you might be asking yourself what the Difference Between Callaway X18R vs Callaway X18 Irons is. It's a legitimate question, as both of these clubs are very well known, however not many actually understand the difference.
To begin with, both X18r and X18 irons belong to the same generation of Callaway Irons. X18 dates back to 2007 and even though they may not be the latest design, the technology in them still allows to comfortably play them, as evidenced by many players on Tour.
Callaway X18R is tailored at players that are looking for more forgiveness in their irons. X18r is still a very precise and long set, however regular X18 allows to work the clubs more, and shape the shots better.
Price on both of them is quite similar, and you can check the latest deals on both of them right here on this site.
Forgiving Callaway X18R:
