Hey Everyone. I'm new to the L.A. area and I loooking for a good course to play on the weekends. I've played a few nice courses(Rancho Park and Los Verdes) but the rounds took way too long, 5+ hours. Are there any nice courses under $80 in the area that are not that crowded on the weekends? I'm willing to travel... Thanks

If you're willing to drive a bit further, courses in the Inland Empire such as San Dimas, Marshall Canyon, Mountain Meadows are pretty good.

My favorite is San Dimas, 57 including cart on weekends. Not too bad of pace and the course is in excellent condition for the money.

Forget Lakewood on the weekends. You won't get out of there under 6 hours on weekends. Weekdays are only mildly better, maybe 5 hours. They jam up the course with fivesomes. Price is right, but it's so frustrating to play there . . .

You are not going to play anywhere in LA without a long round unless you play at a private course.
