The market place is my favorite section. I am an equipment freak and would play every round with new different clubs if I could. And my friends think I do.
But I must say it is really disappointing to come to the market place to see that the last post was 5 days, 2 weeks etc.
I need to live vicariously through you guys getting new stuff
Come on guys, I know there is a lot of top notch gear in your trunks that you could get a new home for.

I think a lot of us like to think that we might some day really want to go back to that old driver. Nostalgia, you know. :-)
Rambler, you have no room to talk. You're benefitting tomorrow from my lack of desire to sell things. :-D

Funny you should mention that. I have a "loaner set" in my trunk. 7-Wood (itself inherited from a friend), 7-Iron, PW, SW, putter, tees and balls, in a Sunday bag. Could I get a new home for it? Probably not, unless it's a cardboard box.

This is the best reason to hold onto your stuff: to give to friends to use. I inherited some equipment from friends, and the above "loaner set" gets my friends who don't own clubs (or forget theirs at parents' homes when they come to school) to come play.

I take it that it takes about 12 minutes to register an account

yeah, i cant imagine that some guy decided to get a good plug in for his ebay auctions would make two accounts, one asking for a specific product in a totally irrelevent thread, and one giving listings in an effort to advertise it.
especially with such carefully thought out names like "golfman."

Every now and then for old time's sake I hit a Big Bertha Warbird out of the tee box. ;-)
I also have an old Acushnet Bullseye putter that I use on putts for money. Imagine Judge Smails in Caddyshack.
