Rules of the Marketplace
1. No Businesses
Businesses are not allowed to sell anything in the Marketplace. The Marketplace is a privilege for individuals only.
2. Established Members
Users must be an Established Member to post a thread in the Marketplace. Users are automatically upgraded to "Established Member" status when they reach 25 posts, have a reputation of 5 or higher, and have been a member for 30 or more days. See here (http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1951) for more details.
3. Images
Images are encouraged, but the use of attachments is not allowed. Upload your images to a free hosting service (like flickr (http://flickr.com/) or the many others) and embed them with the [img] tag.
4. 18 Years Old
If you're not yet 18 years of age, you're prohibited from selling or buying in the Marketplace. Nothing exists to enforce this, so we're relying on your honesty here. There are legal reasons for this one - sorry.
4. Golf-Related Items
Please limit items for sale, trade, or purchase to golf-related items. If you want to sell your Xbox 360 games, please do so elsewhere.
4. One Item Per Thread
Please list only one item (or "set") per thread. If you list three or four items, it becomes a headache for both potential buyers and you, and your search ranking will likely suffer as well. We've had complaints about sellers doing this. If you want to offer a discount for several things, link to your other items in your thread.
5. Close the Thread when Sale Complete
When your sale is completed, please close the thread from the "Thread Tools" menu.
6. No eBay/Other Site Items
Do not post a link to your eBay auction or list items that are available on other sites. The point of having a Marketplace is to benefit both the seller and buyer with not having to use eBay.
7. Use Proper Prefix
With vBulletin 3.8, we now have the ability to add a prefix. I've created four for the Marketplace specifically: "For Sale:" "For Trade:" "For Sale/Trade:" and "WTB:". Please use the appropriate prefix.
8. Three Items at a Time
Due to some recent abuse, we're limiting the number of open threads you can have in the Marketplace to three. If you want to sell more than three items at a time, PM a moderator or an admin for permission or wait until you've sold some items.
Threads not following these rules may be deleted by any moderator or admin at any time.
We don't charge anything for the Marketplace, so please don't take advantage. These rules are here for both buyers and sellers.
