Default MP 57's get beat up pretty easily?? - 1 Week Ago

Are they supposed to get dinged up so easily? I take pretty good care of them, clean after every shot, wipe down after round, but the chatter is putting some nice dings in the soles already.

I dont mind if its normal, but damn, these are gonna be toast in like 1 or 2 seasons it looks like.

Bag chatter builds character

Seriously, I've had my -57s for almost 20 months, and I keep good care of them. They are a bit clattered. I can post a picture if you want.

I'm satisfied with how my 57's have held up, but people have different view of how much dings are too much. Some pictures would be useful.

Much less than MP-33 & 14 that I had.

Golf club is just a tool that you use when you play a game called 'Golf'.
I have seen many ppls worship some of brands and its models (i.e. Mizzi lovers & Scotty lovers :) ) and takes extreme care for the clubs.

For me, I wash my car. But I don't wash it every time after I drove it. Maybe once a month.. Same goes for my club. It gets dings and dirty and worn over time. I clean and care them time to time, but not obsessively.

In the cart bag:

Dings and nicks and scratches are all a part of the golf experience. Specially when you're the first owner of the irons. The more you play the more worn-out your irons will look, and it gives you a nice feeling about how much you played, knowing that you're the one who had done every single ding or scratch to the iron. It just makes your own personal set very unique in their own way.

And yes, they're forged from softer carbon steel, so expect them to wear out quicker.

I felt the same way with a set of Ping 2 Becu that I bought new when they started getting their first small ding marks on the club face. It does not effect play but it very noticeable on brand new clubs.

The shiny brand new finish almost makes you not want to hit your beautiful clubs. I can only imagine what I would do if I had a new set of MP33 shiny chrome iron set.

I would have to put Mizuno irons covers on them.

Yeah, mine are a bit chattery-looking as well, but I'm past the point of caring. I don't really like the shiny look anyway, so dinged up looks better to me, at least on my 57s.
