To All of you who have purchased the Nike Sumo^2, unfortunatley you will have to send it in and get it replaced.
Apparently some of the drivers were non-conforming to the USGA so Nike pulled it from the market.
I was demoing drivers yesterday and when the pro went to tape up the Nike Sumo^2, he said he can't let me hit it. Then we got into the discussion of why and I found out all of this info.
If you want to get the USGA conforming Sumo^2, bring it into the store you bought it at and you will get a voucher. Hold onto that voucher, and when the replacement Sumo^2 comes in, you can get it at no charge. (There will be a small circle next to the SQ on the driver to identify the conforming Sumo^2.)
If you are wondering,"KJ Choi should have the title he won earlier this year taken back because he won it using the Sumo^2, which is non-conforming" wrong. Nike says that they test all tour players clubs to make sure that they are conforming.
