As of right now, no American golfer in his 20s has more than two career PGA Tour victories.
Think about that for a second. Obviously that can change on nearly any week, but wow. Even Paula Creamer has two LPGA victories, and she's still a teen. She'll get to three before she hits 20! Yeah, it's pretty sad, especially as a Charles Howell fan. It's beyond me to be honest.
It's funny you made this topic because my Thrash Talk for this week ties into it. There may be hope as far as "young gun" Americans is concerned, but that's what everyone said when CH3 debuted as well. I believe it's only a matter of time before Ryan Moore elevates his game to top-20 or top-30 status. Anyway, I'll shutup now and get into it more in Thrash Talk. But you are right on the money Erik. There are numerous foreign golfers that have won multiple times, but still no young Americans. |
