Not Finding the Sweet Spot with Driver

I've been hitting a lot of low, weak hooks lately with my driver. I went to the golf shop today to demo a few drivers (and, more importantly, to test out some swing changes I've been messing around with at home for the last few days), and after hitting the same kind of miss in the simulator, I put some impact tape on the face of the demo club. When I checked the tape after hitting a few balls, the tape showed that I made contact on the heel every time, no matter of my ball position at address.

The source of my duck-hooks is now apparent. What are some things I can do to alleviate this?

I make adjustment with my driver and begin by positioning by driver with the ball near the heel at address for me to hit a solid middle contact drive. I can not explain why but it works for me. If you watch Vijay Singh he also does something similar at address with his driver.

Check to make sure your posture is not too upright. Try to take a full back swing, then stop at the top and return the club to the ground in the posture that you were in at the top. You might be dipping a bit on the backswing to compensate for the uprightness of your posture at address. This could be a cause. Perhaps you could take a video of your full swing and see if you have a head dip at any point.
