my club face wont square, please help

I was hitting and playing surprisingly well for the last month and a half or two but all of the sudden I can not get my club face square at impact so i'm hitting anything from a high fade to a big bannana slice. It's like I can't get my hands through the zone quick enough and the face is hanging open through the hitting zone. Could this be a grip issue or would it most likley be some other issue?

    thanks everyone

Which club? I assume the driver. Still trying to "kill it" Maybe try slowing to about 80% for awhile, and trying to feel what it is. A lot of times when I do that I find my swing path is completely off and then I try to compensate for the bad slice and turn my hand over too fast, or stay behind the ball too long and get the rediculous pull or wicked hook. How can all this happen from one swing to the next. Are you compensating for either with your grip? That adds to the yuck.

bad thing is, it's with every club. obviously the fade is smaller the lower i go like for example my 7 iron may fade 5 yards while my driver is fading 15-20 yards, can you give me some type of drill to get my hands to release quicker? When I take my swing and hold up at the bottom to see where my club face is at and it's open and for some reason, I can't seem to get it to close. I dont know if i'm "sliding" to much with my hips or what in the world I am doing. If anyone has any ideas of things I could practice please do let me know.

    thanks

One thing that I do to help me when I go through that is to close the clubface a little bit at address. It helps me to "remember" to turn my hands over through impact, and if I don't, I'm at least just leaving the clubface a little bit open.

i actually tried that at the range this morning and i would either duck hook the ball or top the. This could cause a big problem for me due to the fact that I entered a tourney that is tomorrow back when I was playing much much better lol oh well I'll just go out there relax and have a good time on a course that I would not be playing if it weren't for this tournament.

Often times when the club is left open at impact it's a result of coming over the top of the ball. On your downswing, if your swingpath is outside-in, the hands will automatically fail to close to avoid the pull-hook.
Obviously this is just speculation without seeing your swing and there's a good chance it's something completely different. My advice to you is get yourself on video from behind to see of your swingpath is online. Good luck, I hope this helps

Take the offending club down to a water hazzard and hold the head under water for a minute or so. Make sure the other clubs can see what's going on. They'll get the message.
