Rules of the Marketplace
1. Golf-Related Items
Please limit items for sale, trade, or purchase to golf-related items. If you want to sell your Xbox 360 games or your old unicycle, please do so elsewhere.
2. One Item Per Thread
Please list only one item (or "set") per thread. If you list two or three items, it becomes a headache for both potential buyers and you. If you want to offer a discount for someone looking to buy several things, link to your other items in your thread.
3. Three Items at a Time
Please limit the number of open threads to three. If you want to sell more than three items at a time, wait until you've sold some items and closed some threads.
4. Use Proper Prefix
I've created four prefixes for the Marketplace specifically: "For Sale:" "For Trade:" "For Sale/Trade:" and "WTB:". Please use the appropriate prefix. The software pretty much demands this of you.
5. Inline Images Only - No Attachments
We encourage you to list images in your threads, but the use of attachments is not allowed. Upload your images to a free hosting service (like flickr or the many others) and embed them with the [img] tag.
6. Close the Thread when Sale Complete
When your sale is completed, please close the thread from the "Thread Tools" menu.
7. 18 Years Old
If you're not yet 18 years of age, you're prohibited from selling or buying in the Marketplace. Nothing exists to enforce this, so we're relying on your honesty here. There are legal reasons for this one - sorry.
8. Established Members
Users must be an Established Member to post a thread in the Marketplace. Users are automatically upgraded to "Established Member" status when they reach 25 posts, have a reputation of 5 or higher, and have been a member for 30 or more days. See here for more details.
9. No Businesses
Businesses are not allowed to sell anything in the Marketplace. The Marketplace is a privilege for individuals only.
10. No eBay/Other Site Items
Do not post a link to your eBay auction or list items that are available on other sites. The point of having a Marketplace is to benefit both the seller and buyer with not having to use eBay.
11. Don't Bump
If people don't post in your thread and you don't sell your item, don't bump it for the heck of it. Bumping may result in immediate closing of your thread.
Threads or posts not following these rules may be deleted by any moderator or admin at any time.
We don't charge anything for the Marketplace, so please don't take advantage. These rules are here to benefit both buyers and sellers.
