You're lucky, in my area the courses are packed on the weekend so you have to get a cart to help avoid slow play. Unless I'm willing to play hooky from work during a weekday, that is the only time you can walk the 18

I go with the flow and play what the group plays from--it has cost me some triple diget score cards. But, it was a day playing golf---still a good time.
