It's funny that this would come up. I did some research on this when I was finishing my degree in Physical Education. Physiologically speaking, you don't want to use a weight or a donut to slow your swing down. You want a lighter club that is easier to swing, which enagages the fast-twitch muscle fibres. The heavier club engages the slow-twitch muscle fibres, which slows the swing down. We're not looking for a slower swing, we want to generate speed which generates more...
If you're going to carry, then get a carry bag. If you're going to use a pull-cart, then get a cart bag. A carry bag on a cart twists, the legs get in the way, the clubs get tangled, etc.
[QUOTE=Jay-Bird;369727]I did disregard his grounding of his club inside the boundary of a hazard (which he did on the 7th - which we pushed) (and on the playoff hole - which I lost), simply because I figured by that point he was just ignorant to the rules of golf. You could have been hit with rule 1.3 at this point in time. You were both in agreement to waive the rules, and should have been disqualified. If I was playing in a stroke play tournament and this was brought...
What you're asking for here is basically a golf doggy-bag. You can't do that! Just imagine if 20 people did that everyday at a course! It would be nuts. Are you going to play 24 next time, or 18 and just pay for 12? I don't get why you feel this is appropriate. I've never heard of this done, let alone asked for. The fact that you want to play the holes on another day is just weird, and based on the fact that you didn't have to stop due to weather, I'd say ''Tough Titty''....
Sounds like a pornstar name to me!! ;)
way too slow... if I was playing with you, I'd flat-out tell you, or refuse to play with you. Assuming you and the guys in your foursome shoot a 90 and play the same speed, with no distractions, it's your turn for 67.5 minutes each X 4 = 4hrs and 32 minutes. Way too long. If you get distracted and have to start over even a few times each, we're looking at a 5 hour round. Way too long for my liking. I play in a foursome with some members at my course for money. Everyone...
you can learn how to score and grind in college tournaments as well as learning how to win. Q-school won't teach you that. I've had many friends over the years (being a CPGA pro) who have played on the Canadian Tour and had a hard time performing. You can go for years of playing well and not winning a single tournament and having to re-qualify for your card, which does nothing to help your confidence. Think about it, college will be 2-3 years of valuable experience...
I'm a CPGA pro and a swim coach. As a golf pro in Canada, you need a sideline job, as the season is only 8 months long at best.
A: were you expecting your dad to be the next to post? Q: what ball do you play?
