You averaged in the 60's before for each nine,  so about 125 for 18 holes,  yet you list your Handicap as 15?   You must not go to your  "Home Course" very often.

I used to practice in my back yard by opening up my 60* and hitting it,  taking three quick steps,  and catching it before it hit the ground......     just good practice to get the ball without wiffing...

Leave them.....   I'm assuming the creases are where the laces start (closer to the toe)  and it's from you walking..... no way around that really.
