I ended up sealing the deal on this bag off Craigslist for 40 and it's only been used once:          I pick it up Monday. I've read a few articles online about traveling with clubs, but are there any other tips I should know about other than just keeping the clubs in the bag and sliding them in? Thanks again for the help.
I'm currently trying to hammer out a deal over Craigslist to secure a leather travel case to cover my bag for roughly 25, if that doesn't work out I'll most likely have to try placing the clubs in upside-down like one gentleman said earlier, snapping on the cover and putting a line or two of duct tape over it.   Alternatively, if anyone in the DC region has a bag they'd be willing to loan for a small fee/lunch (I could leave a photocopy of my drivers license so they...
Oh believe me, I've been struck by lightning already...and they say it dosen't strike twice ;)
I guess I just wanted to thank those of you that take new players under their wings or even just spend 5 minutes to correct something they may see.   I've only started roughly a month ago and I went to the driving range today (I try to go twice a week), after picking up a used TaylorMade R5 3W, to replace the one I broke prior (to date I've broken 2 drivers and a 3W). As soon as I stepped up to the mat, it started to downpour, with the occasional thunderclap. I...
My general rule is I'll walk nine, ride 18. Although, depending on the course and how spread out they are (my local municipal's holes are spread out throughout an entire neighborhood, you take your cart down the street at one point) I might ride nine as well.   Then again, I don't play golf for the health benefits...and there's something therapeutic about kicking back on the cart with a nice cigar while you wait for the group in front.
I'll be taking Amtrak in roughly two weeks and will be bringing along my clubs as I plan on playing some golf at my destination. Unfortunately, Amtrak requires you to check golf-clubs...and I won't be able to carry them on.    The cover for my bag snaps on at four points, and as a test I snapped it on, flipped the bag upside down, and gave the bag a few shakes. The cover didn't show any signs of falling off or coming undone.    Should this be sufficient? I've...
So I've been golfing 3 times now and I've busted two drivers?   The first set was my girlfriends dad's on the last hole, I swung and the head went flying down the fairway...I just came back from the driving range and busted a second driver with the exact same scenario, the head separated and flew down the range.   Am I doing something wrong or do I just have shit drivers? What should I look for in the next one to be sure this dosen't happen again? Is it possible...
Hello,   I'm a college student who recently went golfing for my first time a few weeks ago, and despite loosing my phone and busting my girlfriend's father's driver I had a blast.   Since I'm home for the summer I researched courses near where I go to school, and discovered a 36 hole facility nearby which has a steep discount for students ($20 for 18), and I've decided this is something I'd like to get into.   I've decided to go with used clubs for now, and...
