To build up the Pure Grips, you can use blue painters tape or masking tape....I have used both and they both work fine. I did buy the gun attachment and did my own grips. Once you get the old grips and tape off, installing the Pure grips is very easy....watch the instructional video on their website.
If I were you, I would definitely get fitted for any clubs that you want to purchase. It gives you an opportunity to try different shafts, different lies, etc. Well worth the money. Usually your big box stores will waive the fitting fee if you purchase the clubs from them.
I starting using Pure Pro grips last year. I have played 40 rounds with them and practice at least twice a week during the season and the grips are still in good shape. I clean them after every round with Gripes, the grip cleaning wipes made by Lamkin.  Best grips I've ever used. Very easy to install and remove with the compressor gun attachment.
It is almost impossible to find Ping's newest model clubs discounted or included in any retail store or online promotion. The only thing you will find discounted are older model clubs such as G15, G20 or i20. Good Luck.
Good choice....enjoy.
Switched to Pure Pro Grips last year and installed them with the compressor attachment. Best grip I've ever used. Very easy to install and remove.
All the manufacturers have good game improvement clubs today. It's just a matter of what looks good to you and what you feel most comfortable hitting. When I was upgrading my clubs last year, I hit Titleist AP1's, Mizuno JPX 825's and Ping G25's. I ended up going with the Ping G25's.....they are very forgiving and the distance between clubs is very consistent. I have to say they are the best clubs I ever owned and have helped me lower my handicap to be able to play bogey...
Pure Pro. Easy to install and last longer than other grips I have used over the years.
Ed Gibson or Bruce Fleming at Makefield Highlands in Yardley, PA. I have used Ed in the past and have had great results......I would recommend either one.
Absolutely.
