Nippon NS Pro 950GH Stiff in MP-57. For me a good option on advice of my Golf pro. Although I have just received them yesterday and played only two rounds of 18, I am really satisfied.

I am using R300 DG. I like to get a lighter steel shaft from Nippon either the NS850gh or the NS750gh they are about 75 - 85 grams vs 127grams for the DG R300, I am getting older.

I am using the Dynamic Gold S300 shafts on my new Mizuno MP-57 irons. I tried the project X shafts, but fount them to be too inconsistent. The DG's gave me the higher ball flight that I like.

the head pro at the mitchell spearman jr. golf academy is using 6.5's and he's telling me they're too heavy and that he wants to move down to 6.0's. If he, who hits 345 yard bombs quite often, doesn't like hitting 6.5's, then there's no way i'm going to be getting them (although i'm currently using X100's). We'll see what works out for me when i'm fitted.

DG R300 for me. I like a heavier flexible shaft for feel. The weight and the flex allows me to make a smooth pass and load the shaft every time. I played DG shafts most of my life back and forth between S and R flex. I've tried to get used to the other iron shafts and here's my feedback summary:

Nippon - too light and feel a little harsh even on pured shots
Rifle - not bad, but the dispersion and distance control was not good enough
Project X - boardy, butt stiff and really expensive, I don't get them at all.
