I am still having a great deal of trouble doing the driver with stack n tilt. Not to mention i submitted my swing to an instructor online, and the first thing he said was to stop straightening the right leg on the backswing. I am really at the crossroads now as to whether to persist with the stack and tilt, or go traditional. I havent heard of any SnT instructors in Melbourne, Australia, which is where i would go to get lessons.

Forgot to add: the instructor compared me to Padraig Harrington, and put us side by side. Very similar swings. I have been trying to copy his swing down to a tee, obviously without the Snt methods, but still continue to have driver troubles.

Did your instructor tell you why you shouldn't allow your right leg to straighten? Or did he just tell you not to do it without reason? Ask him why virtually every top golfer in the world allows their right leg to straighten on the backswing and see what he says.

Well the video he put up Padraig had a little more knee flex than me, the video showed daylight between my legs at the top, whilst Paddy had his knees closer together if you get what i mean. He went on to explain that me straightening my right leg, caused me to over rotate on the backswing, which was shown with my club pointing way right of the target at the top of the backswing.

Ill admit it was a free swing analysis on the v1 golf academy, but alot of what he said seemed to make sense. SO... should i persist with trying to match Paddy's swing, or go to an instructor that i can see once a month and work with them?? OR keep practicing stack n tilt.

I have watched it several times. I continually hit a push fade with the driver when attempting this so obviously i am doing something wrong. I also tried the flying wedge with the driver and had no consistency with any ball flight or path. It just feels weird.

Thanks for the offer man. I am actually 1 hour north of Melbourne so probably about 2 hours to Geelong. Would you recommend him, have you been to him?? Results?

Here mate.

Just want to say that this video is awesome... I saw it a few days ago but haven't had time to go to the range before I played this morning... played like crap, especially off the tee... afterwards I worked on the range for about 2 hours going through the info in this video and all I have to say is WOW!!! This has helped me so much... thank you to Dave and all the rest at Golf Evolution

This helped me A TON. I had my irons going well but my driver was getting worse and worse. I watched those videos, practiced in the mirror, figured it out and went from hitting an occasional fairway a ruond.. Seriously. I would hit one fairway per round sometimes none. I hit 9 fairways last round. NO range time in between either. THANKS. I used to aim so far left it was scary. It would start left, slice and roll another 50-80 feet DEAD right. I hit a bunch of straight drives the other day. That and 42 putts and I was over 100 tho.. about 9 beers too. It was just for fun. But I'm breaking 90 SOON.

So youre driving improved just by practicing in the mirror? That is impressive. What moves did you focus on in particular, as personally, without me hitting balls and seeing results, I would find it hard to take these adjustments to the tee without practicing for real.

I noticed more than felt that my left (forward) shoulder was swinging way open way before the clubhead was on the ball. I worked on pushing my chest through, tucking my butt and pushing my left shoulder up more instead of swinging it open and it helped A LOT. I ended up nearly jumping off the ground with some drives and on one I was on both toes after follow through and one my back foot came off the ground and swung towards the tee kinda but they all came out looking pretty good. I need to refine it a lot more but I haven't been this excited about potential scores dropping since I started S&T;

started and stopped s&t; many times because of problem with the driver. have gotten to the point now where the driver isn't a problem by just standing up to the shot and feel the shot instead of thinking the shot with all the little arrows and indians. just get the feel with 7 iron or similar and then just repeat it with every shot and the thing just works. don't over analyze it because it may make you tense and not trust your athletic swing. the s&t; is just an athletic natural swing.

I need an 11.5 degree driver now. Seriously. I was hitting long low arrows with still a bit too much sidespin. I think a degree or two would make a good difference and at soem distance. Anyone wanna trade?

IM sort of incorporating bits of the Snt into my swing (driver and irons) only because when i try to do it fully i am very inconsistent. All comes with the correct practice i suppose.

How do you find taking the driver back way inside like the Snt promotes. Cause any shanks/push fades?
