.) Another drill is the old glove under left arm. This will keep that left arm close and promote the hands rolling over.

Be careful with this drill. It promotes too narrow a takeaway on longer clubs resulting in the club coming back inside way too early at the bottom and a big over the top move. We want the left arm extended to a full triangle in the backswing with hands as a unit in front of the chest as long as possible. Its vital that the left arm stay as close to the chest in the downswing, but not the takeaway.

hi everyone!

I got back from my Lesson with the pro very happy.

It was as simple as this. Ball Placement on the Tee.

Before I was teeing the ball up like this: ( _= ground. f= foot. |=tee with ball)
_f_|__f_

that is the ball pretty much in the middle between my feet.

The coach told me to tee it up like this: ( _= ground. f= foot. |=tee with ball)

_f|___f_

That is the ball inline with my front foot.

Thanks to everyone for your advice!

Guys Guys Come on, wow Righty to Lefty your over analyzing, and your a 25 handicap? I play all season just fine, I don't do any specific muscle training, the golf swing is a thing that cant be explained and simply put like your trying to do. Like the earlier guy was saying his club face is open or is being allowed to bend open at impact if he can just get back to the basics and swing through the ball and release his hands like he is supposed to, and maintain a solid grip so that he can keep the club head square through the impact zone. That is what most likely causes the ball to start of straight and then fade to the right. Is that you grip isn't firm enough and the club face slightly bends when you impact the ball. So all your step aerobics are good and fitness is very helpful in having a consistently good square swing. He doesn't need all that info. Wow anyway good luck with your swing to the original poster of this thread!

Cheers Rick!

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
