There not cheap, about $8 per grip. I think you can get 'generic' versions of the grip. GolfPride has a lot of different color combos.

Actually Golfsmith near me has them for 9 bucks each.I put one on my S\W and like it a lot but for 9 bucks each to due my bag seems a little over the top.

I haven't had them on long enough to see for myself, but I've heard that these hold up well for a long time, leading to fewer regrips.

the Sharpro grips are supposed to be a good alternative to the GP muticompounds.

I practice about 12 times per week and maybe play 2 times per week and I re-grip once a year...twice seems like a lot but there's nothing like having a fresh grip on there, it gives me a confidence boost, lol.

hell i can get 13 sharpo grips for 40 instead of 5. going to give them a try, i'll report back and if they dont work i'll just deal with it.... could be worse

Nothing wrong with the sharpros. Cosmetically, you can tell they're a little on the cheaper side. As far as function goes, I really like them. I prefer them much more than gp tour velvets which were among the top on my list.

No problems installing with 3 wraps of build up tape.

what i find wierd is that you didnt know what kind of grip it was, therefore have never tried them, yet you want them because Phil Mickelson has them? Odd.

Other than if your slipping off the grip is it really necassary to replace them? It cant affect a shot unless your losing grip right? I only ask cause the above poster said he regrips twice a year? I have had my clubs for 2 years and never even considered re-gripping, and I play at least 1-2 times a week and 3+ range sessions. Twice a year seems excessive, no?

its not your hand slipping off you have to worry about, its the grip smooting out, causing it to turn slightly in your hands from the momentum of the swing, opening the club face. At least thats what I think it is anyway.

I wire brush and Dawn dish soap my grips every week as my hands sweat ALOT so I usually wear out the cord section and thus regrip twice a year.
