I went into Golf Galaxy yesterday and left with a Ping Tour-W 52 deg wedge. I compared it side by side with a Ping I-wedge. I really liked both wedges but the Tour-W felt more solid on center hits. It is also fairly forgiving on misses too. I took it to the range this morning and it is has great feel. I've finally found my 100 yard and in club. It looks pretty good too, I got the brushed silver.

I have the Tour W in 52/56/60 and the 52 is my 100 yarder, I also use it for shorter chips (50 yards and under) I use my 56 for 80 yard shots and longer bunker shots, and 60 out of green side bunkers

Im thinking of getting a ping tour-w wedge. Is the thin sole one alot better?

The TS model will make it a little easier to open the face up (flop shots, etc). I have the non-TS version and I got a T-Grind done on my 60*. It basically makes it a TS club.

I agree with all of what has been said here already, the Tour-W wedges are great clubs.

I've used Vokeys and Mizuno wedges in the past, but can safely say that with the Pings you don't have to give up anything in terms of feel or control, despite them not being forged.

The only minor downside is that there are fewer loft/bounce combinations for Ping than there are for Vokey or Cleveland. I can live with that though!

Was on the Ping site earlier today, and the Ping wedges have evidently gone the Vokey route: Ping wedges now have several sole grinds to choose from.

Focus, connect and follow through!
