In tennis you can have a very loopy forehand stroke, and that can lead to a "hitch" in the golf swing, imo (Furyk).  I don't like that.

I know tennis builds up my forearm (right) and I seem to get added distance, especially on drives.  Is it good to have one arm more dominate over another like that? R>L. Also builds the legs and give you endurance - good things.

But I don't think I can excel at either sports if I continue to to play both.

If you really want to excel at one, I agree the other will have to take a back seat simply due to time constraints. I got back into tennis about 6 yrs ago and after 2 yrs of playing 3x per week advanced to about a 5.0, while playing golf about 1/month at an index of about 18. Last year I joined a local CC, and those sports have switched. Now I play G 2-3x per week and I'm a 9hc and T about 1/month and I'm probably a 4.0 now...
