We pay about $625/year but golf season here only lasts about 6 months. The course has 36 holes with a practice area but no driving range. This does not include carts but I prefer walking anyways.

Wow, I couldn't afford to play golf in some of your clubs............lol

I pay $600 a year for unlimited greens fees, cart is $14 per 18 holes, but I rarely use a cart. Semi-Private course, so you have a lot of traffic on weekends from non-members, but it's great to play all year round for $600.

$239 a month for family membership, no food/bar minimums.

18-hole course, pool, tennis courts, restaurant, and bar.

The restaurant has incredible food. There is a separate food area over at the pool which my wife enjoys.

The membership gets you unlimited golf and range, but does not include carts. Carts are $13 per 18 holes.

We do get 20% off merchandise in the pro shop and orders.

Immediate family members pay $20/$30 per round weekday/weekend not including cart.
True guests pay $50/$60 weekday/weekend not including cart.

Around $2,500 annually.....that is for unlimited golf and a small bucket of range balls each trip........

Where in Arkansas do you live, and what course is it that you play at?

Anyway, as for me (both are for a "junior" membership, neither includes cart or range balls): - $250ish/month ($800 initiation fee) for the course in Arkansas - $450ish/month ($5,000 initiation fee) for the course in Houston

892/yr at the other. Upscale, uptight place, but absolutely beautiful and challenging course. Holes over looking salt water.

Hey!!!

Its snowing right now, but its supposed to turn to rain for the next few days. Theres less than a cm down, it wont hurt anything!

We should be golfing much earlier then last year! (and my season ended June 8th with a workplace accident)

I live in the Shediac area. Ah that sucks. You're probably getting our rain in snow since you're higher north. Too bad to hear about last season. Hope this one's better for you!

Wow SoCAL public/ semi-private memberships are really out of this world compared to what you get and what you pay. we see around 1-2k /year and 300-400 a month in fees and then they hit ya with a "golf fee"....not sure it is a real value.

Yeah I agree. I am in Orange County too. Everything is way up there in price OR if reasonble, too far away to get your moneys worth.

18 hole course with driving range and putting green, 650$ a year just green fee's, or 12,500$ includes green fee's, one cart, and three friends green fee's for life. If you happen to move you can transfer the membership one time to someone, it then only covers green fee's for one, no cart, no friends, but it is still for life.

Ours has just gone up to AUD $580 for the year from $520. But for the first time in 5 years or so we'll be able to water all the fairways, all year round.
It's only a 9 hole course, but it's 5min away.

There is a top private course close by, but for $1500/yr + joining fee, prob not worth it when I can walk onto my fairly quiet course at any time.

I paid $470 for the season.. 18 hole course... still have to pay for the range and carts. After reading some other responses it seems that most of you folks play at clubs.. this is a Park district course :)

  • 3 weeks later...
I just paid $500 for the season, includes unlimited golf, range balls, and one league fee (easily $200-$300). Carts are $8. Not the most fantastic track but its not short (6900, 73.8/130 from the tips) and the staff is very friendly. New owners have been busting their (_!_) to get it back into shape after many years of neglect. They're out there with the rest of their staff rebuilding bunkers, replacing sprinkler systems, generally getting dirty.

I'm playing this course today as a trial for membership. I think I've decided if the course and prac facilities are good, then it IS worth it! lol $1250 or so for 6 day membership, $905 joining fee + reciprocal rights to 5 other courses in the metro area

im in the same boat in the Chicago area. Most public courses are $1700 a year or more and that just gets you golf and sometimes cart fee's.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
