Not if it rains like it can in the UK during the Ryder Cup :)
I am a member at the Celtic Manor and while it has been the only club with courses to stay in decent condition through this wet and snowy winter, it will be no where near the lush fairways and greens (plus lack of rough) the US PGA plays on each week.

Saying that though October is typically Wales dryest month of the year so we will see.

I still agree with Pavin in that the big stars of the US team need to come over and play the 2010 course in this years Welsh Open to get a feel for the course, the £1,800,000 first place should be reason enough for them to come, if not to do some homework.

euros def have the advantage as far as that is concerned... they are used to the conditions... the americans are kinda spoiled as far as conditions go... we shall see... def some of the most intense golf you will ever see on tv... that is for sure!

I dont think the euros have an advantage. Our young players Like Mahan, Kim, Ohair etc.. have experience and are getting better all of the time. Vets like Furyk and Stricker will set the tone and are good match players. The cup stays here!

Excited is a pretty strong word. There are a lot of great tournaments to watch and there's an entire summer of golf to be played before then. I'll start getting stoked on October 1st - I have a picture from one of the holes as my computer desktop actually. It's from a Welsh tourism site.
