Hi out there. A guy at my home club is running a US Open pool. Here are the rules: pick four golfers and the winner's final score, and the person's team that wins the most combined money wins. The catch is that you can only pick one player from the top 10 in the world golf rankings.

If you were picking for this pool, what would your picks be?

Ping G 410 10.5 ˚ Driver Ping Tour Stiff Shaft
Ping G 410 14.5˚ 3 Ping Tour Stiff Shaft
Ping G 410 19˚ Ping Tour Stiff Shaft
i 500 irons 4-UW 1/2 inch over, blue dot, NS Pro Modus 105 Stiff Shafts
Ping Stealth Wedges Wedges  54˚ 58˚

GoGolfing, I hate to hijack your thread, but I am hoping that I can get some thoughts on my pool as well -- we pick four golfers (all must make the cut) and get points for finishing position against world ranking -- so the idea is to pick at least one longshot in the world rankings to make the cut -- any ideas?

For your pool, I would like the following: Westwood, Ogilvey, Cink, Villegas

We used to do this back in school....pick any 4 sans Tiger. Add up their earnings and subtract 50k if one of your 4 MC's. For the purposes of this discussion, I'd go with:

Philly Mick
Mahan
Ogilvy
Sergio (don't like him per se, but it's about time)
