Im testing a bunch of golf balls right now...

I started out playing the Mojo because it was cheap. And as my game got better and I stopped losing 18 balls a round I started to buy better golf balls. I do not like the super soft golf balls, I like the soft to medium golf balls.
I tend to buy a bunch of balls at one time and sorta rotate them thru and see if I find something I really like, or ill change it depending on the course (wind, green condition, hills, etc...)

I have played almost all the Bridgestone models, and I have to say I do not dislike any of them. In fact the "e" series ball is great for the growing golfer. The B330 is definitely a competitor in the golf ball race!
I tried the ProV1 & ProV1X, its a nice ball, but I don't see what all the hype is about.
Im a big Nike fan, obviously, so I was playing the Nike ONE Black for a while, then I tried the Nike One Tour & TourD when it came out. I wasn't all that impressed.
I grabbed the Srixon Zstar a while back and I think I like this ball best, so far. For some reason it feels soft, but heavier and more solid than the other "soft spin" balls out there. Good $$$ value too. This is the ball I have been playing mostly for the last 6 months.
Right now I have a dozen of the Srixon Trispeed Tour balls and I haven't tried them yet.
I got a sleeve of 3 TaylorMade Penta's and this is a really good ball. If it weren't for the price I might play this one.
Recently my buddy turned me on to the Callaway "i" series ball... This is a very nice ball as well. Some of them are too soft for my taste, but overall its a solid ball for sure!

In my Ogio bag.

Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams irons & hybrid, Callaway wedges & a Nike Method putter.

And a yellow ball.

I've just finished a dozen Wilson Staff FG tour's, I got them because they were cheap but they were very good. I'm about to start on the nike tour D (got these with my pro shop vouchers because nike are the only balls my pro shop stock). Otherwise I would buy the Callaway tour ix or Srixon Z Star x, but to be honest there isn't a bad ball you can buy at this price point, Bridgestone B330's are great, Titleist Pro v's are too. The only premium ball I have yet to try is the Penta, which I've heard nothing but good things about.

Srixon Z star yellow. I decided to treat myself to a box as I would normally play found or cheaper balls. I like the feel of these and ease to see them so much I may keep playing them. I only lost 1 the last 2 rounds and I can live with that.

In my cart bag, Driver 909D Comp,Fairway Diablo Edge 3W, Hybrid TWS 18 &23, Irons Diablo Edge 5-Pw, Wedges X Tour vintage 50 X Forged chrome 56 and 64,Putter Rossa Daytona 1, Ball Z Star yellow or a Tri Speed

At the moment, I'm playing some Nike PD Soft. I like them well enough. Ironically, I've been trying out different balls recently and picked up a cheap box of Top Flite XL7000 Soft just to have something to play that day and I liked them more than anything I'd played up to that point. That includes any Titleist ball. I just "clicked" with those balls and hit them SO well. I was very surprised at how much I liked them simply because they are under $13 for 15 balls. After I found how much I liked those Top Flites I bought a dozen of the PD Softs. I wanted to see if I could get the same feel with a little more distance. I've played only one round with the Nike balls, but, so far, I really like them a lot.

B330 is closest to the Pro V1x. The B330s ("s" is supposed to designate spin) to the Pro V1. B330rx doesn't seem to have a counterpart in the Titleist stable.

Anything top flite. I played with them in high school. I would never trade anything else. It's the same ball that got me a 36 two years ago.

Maybe if there is a tournament, I would use Titleist balls.

Trying the Bridgestone e6' s now and really like them. Have some Bridgestone 330-RX's coming. Played a Bridgestone 330-S the other day and really liked it. Bridgestone balls have a really nice feel to them.

My game has improved since I switched to the Bridgestone E6. Its more predictable for me around the green because of its low spin on short pitches and chips. I find it easier to estimate the roll out with the E6 than I could the check with a Penata or Pro V. I've always preferred to let the ball run a bit on those shots because it has a better chance of running onto the hole. The E6 can still be stopped on a dime with full mid to short iron from good lies.

I've been playing Precept Laddie's and I really like them. I find them softer to hit and easier to compress than a lot of other golf balls. Also - they are fun to make jokes about which, I find, helps me out as much as anything else.

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.

    • Honestly, unless there's something about that rough there that makes it abnormally penal or a lost ball likely, this might be the play. I don't know how the mystrategy cone works, but per LSW, you don't use every shot for your shot zones. In that scatter plot, you have no balls in the bunker, and 1 in the penalty area. The median outcome seems to be a 50 yard pitch. Even if you aren't great from 50 yards, you're better off there than in a fairway bunker or the penalty area on the right of the fairway. It could also be a strategy you keep in your back pocket if you need to make up ground. Maybe this is a higher average score with driver, but better chance at a birdie. Maybe you are hitting your driver well and feel comfortable with letting one rip.  I get not wanting to wait and not wanting to endanger people on the tee, but in a tournament, I think I value playing for score more than waiting. I don't value that over hurting people, but you can always yell fore 😆 Only thing I would say is I'm not sure whether that cone is the best representation of the strategy (see my comment above about LSW's shot zones). To me, it looks like a 4 iron where you're aiming closer to the bunker might be the play. You have a lot of shots out to the right and only a few to the left. Obviously, I don't know where you are aiming (and this is a limitation of MyStrategy), but it seems like most of your 4 iron shots are right. You have 2 in the bunker but aiming a bit closer to the bunker won't bring more of your shots into the bunker. It does bring a few away from the penalty area on the right.  This could also depend on how severe the penalties are for missing the green. Do you need to be closer to avoid issues around the green?  It's not a bad strategy to hit 6 iron off the tee, be in the fairway, and have 150ish in. I'm probably overthinking this.
