I've heard some good things about both these balls and am currently using the D2 Feel, but lately I have been hearing alot about the e6. Any thoughts of which ball has the more bang for its buck? Been thinking about switching just wanted to hear some of your opinions.

I've been using the E6 almost exclusively for the past couple months and it is definitely becoming one of the best "bang for buck" balls out there right now. Distance is good, spin control is good, overall a great ball. I can't personally compare to the D2 Feel unfortunately, I definitely encourage anyone to try the E6.

Likewise, I just got a free dozen Nike One Tour balls and I'm actually liking these quite a bit. $30 for a dozen sounds like a good deal actually.

It must be a helluva ball. I tried to buy some yesterday at Austads; neither of the two stores in town had any in stock.

I had to have my local Golf Galaxy grab some from the back for me. Luckily it was one of the older packages that had a free bonus sleeve!

I've only hit one sleeve of each. I preferred the D2. It was longer and felt better. I'd play either one though - decent balls.

Recently, when comparing balls, I go to a local par 3 course (it's $9 for unlimited play). I'll play two balls on every hole (it's not crowded in our 106 degree heat)
The D2 feel is the best ball for the $. I prefer the e5's higher trajectory to the e6.
I've recently compared D2 feel vs Srixon AD333. The D2 feel consistently landed softer with more spin.

Find a local par 3 course and play a few balls head to head.

I would agree. The Gamer is an excellent ball for the $$$.

I struggle with getting higher trajectory so I might give these a look. I recently bought some e6's but haven't played them yet.

I just ran out of Gamers and no one had the Gamers anymore so I finally got the v2s and was pleased to get the bonus sleeve, bringing it down to $20 for 15 balls, a great deal. Haven't played it yet, but I've heard great reviews.

If you can make a ball spin at all a Gamer is a bad fit for you, unless you want to change out your ball after every iron shot. I shredded them like Enron documents when I tried them.

Unless all you care about is price, theres no reason to favor the D2 Feel over the e6. I tried the E6 last summer and with that ball I hit some of the straightest shots Ive ever hit.
The D2 Feel is a good ball for the price, but its little more than a rock with a soft cover.

E6 is solid, but I actually prefer the D2 Feel regardless of price. In terms of pure performance I like the E5 better than both.

That is incorrect. According to the latest MPI Compression and Cover hardness ratings (lower numbers are "softer"):

Bridgestone E6 -- Overall Compression: 58 Cover Hardness: 95 Top Flite D2 Feel -- Overall Compression: 56 Cover Hardness: 95 So the Top Flite D2 Feel is a slightly softer ball with exactly the same hardness cover. (this jives with my personal experience playing both). For comparison: Titleist Pro V1 -- Overall Compression: 80 Cover Hardness: 88 Titleist Pro V1x -- Overall Compression: 86 Cover Hardness: 89 MPI is an independent testing lab that tests golf balls using multiple samples acquired independent of manufacuturers (i.e. they buy/acquire them from retail outlets).

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
