Worth worrying about a couple of degrees of wedge bounce?

Long story short, I'd like to go to three wedges from the four I carry now so I can bag another wood or hybrid. I like the MP T-10s, want to stick with them and generally prefer a higher bounce. I've just about completely worn out my current 56/13, for example, but hardly used my 60/08.

Anyway, basically have two options: go with their stock 54/09 and 58/10 choices -- simple. Or buy one 56/10 to bend open to a 58/12 and another 56/13 to bend closed to a 54/11 -- complicated. Anyone think it's worth the extra hassle? How fussy are you guys about bounce?

You gotta bag what you feel comfortable and confident with. If that means getting clubs bent, then so be it. If you feel like you can get the job done with lower bounce and it wont be nagging in the back of your mind when you stand over a tricky little chip shot, then get whatever.

I really don't think so. Maybe bend the 60 and get the 54 if is in like new condition. I've done that with a vokey and really didn't notice it playing much different.

Bending the 56 to 54 to have 11 degrees of bounce would be fine and play as a sand wedge (at least that's how I use it).
Bending the 56 to 58, giving you 12 wouldn't be a good idea to me. The strength of my 58 is that I can get under the ball easily when I need to, 12 degrees of bounce is too much in my opinion.

Since your 60 has plenty of life why not bend it to 58 and then buy a 54? Personally for me, the couple of degrees of difference in bounce won't matter.

Check out the MP T-11's, they come with DG Spinner shafts! I'm really curious about these shafts.

im a digger and the high bounce on a wedge helps me BUT.......12 degrees on a 58 seems a but high the bending of the 56 to a 54 would be ok, but as mentioned above the bending of the 56 to a 58 might be a bit much this was one thing that kept me from Mizzy wedges, was the lack of bounce options

Ideal bounce depends upon:
* How steep your downswing is.
* Normal conditions you play under. Soft sand and plush turf favors more bounce, while harder sand and tighter lies/harder soil favors less bounce.

stretch if you end up buying my hybrids...I have a 56.10 bent to 55 and a 60.08 MP T10 that I wanna sell...both with KBS shafts...lightly used...would be easy to toss them in the box along with the hybrids...Ill sell em to you for $120 for both if you buy my hybrids too

Why not sell your used 56, and use the money to go toward a 58*, then just have 52, 58? Am i missing something here? Does their standard 58 not come in a high anough bounce option for you? A lower (not too low) bounce on a lob wedge means you can open the face SLIGHTLY (I am not meaning fully blown flop shots, they are difficult to pull off for a lot of people) around the greens. High bounce around the greens makes your wedge way less versatile.

Both my teaching pro and a couple of manufacturer's reps suggest that you want some variety in your wedge bounce. A digger probably wants at least one wedge with low bounce, and a slider wants at least one with high bounce. This allows you to adapt to more on-course situations.
