Yards and meters for pros

Yeah.....yours too

Sean a metre is equal to 1.09 yards
A meter is 1.094 yards. Or as others have suggested here, just add 10% to the number of meters to get yards and it's close enough for any of our golf games - the pros also.

Are we saying a yard is ~ 0.9 metres and a metre is ~ 1.09 yards?

I think some of us are saying that there's a big difference between .9 and .09 when you're multiplying.

hijack! Why is it called yardage and not distance?

To answer the original question, most tours have someone who does a 'yardage book' with all the measurements you will need - carry front bunker, to back edge etc. These books are purchased by the players and caddies and come in both yards and metres.

Driver: Nakashima 10.5 degree
3 Wood: 15 degree F2
Hybrids: 19 and 21 degree
Irons: MP-58, 4-9 iron
Wedges: Vokey sm 47.06, 53.08, 58.08Putter: studio select 2.5Ball: Pro Vx : Warren Golf Club 73.6 : 146
