I found that the weather is going to be really nice in southeastern iowa tomorrow (60+ degrees) and I was wondering, whats the best way to find an open course? I know some courses just open when the weather is nice but It's a difficult thing to google, plus there isn't anyone at the course right now to answer phones.

Does anyone know of any open courses near the iowa, illionois border that are open year round?

I would call them tomorrow. If their open, they'll answer their phone. I doubt you'd need a tee time being that it's the middle of winter and New Years Eve.

Career Bests:

9 Holes--37 @ The Fairways at Arrowhead-Front(+2)

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

1) The Fairways at Arrowhead

2) Mayfair Country Club

Courses in cold weather country won't open just because of exceptionally nice weather, they've got a lot of springtime preparations to do before they open and once they do, they're not going to want to close a few days later when the weather returns to normal.

Wow bumped post from 4 years ago! There are several courses in the area that open if possible for nice weather. Beaver Creek is one of them, Jester will open anytime weather permitting. I just assumed if there are several that do it within 20 miles there would have been others that did the same thing.
