It varies. When a club feels like the weak link, I make sure to practice a bit more with it next time at range. If a club is consistently "the worst", then it needs to find a new home.

I've had the most agonies with the putter...

But I'd say the driver. It's so feast-or-famine. When I don't drive it in trouble...I put up really good numbers. When I drive it terribly....I have to be on fire with everything else to put up decent numbers.

None. I hit them all the same. I have never had a "worst club," even when I was a little kid shooting in the 100s. I think certain shots might be harder for some people, but I don't know how one club could be worse than another in someone's bag. All of the clubs do a certain job and if you can't execute that shot (3-wood off the deck, driver off the tee, a chip or putt), you just need to work on that skill. Even when I added a 2-iron back when I was 16 years old, that club never gave me any more problems than the other ones in my bag. Maybe that is just my experience.

I call it my lava iron, use one when I go into the lava rock at my course, bloody hate it when I have to pick that one up, never know if the head of the club is gonna go right off an fly farther than the ball.  Hasn't happened though since late 2009 (poor old Nike 8-iron), still have a MaxFli 8-iron that is now serving as my lava iron.

Wait..  We can bring lie into it?  In that case, my worst definitely has to be driver from a fairway bunker with a high lip.  Either that, or putter over a water hazard.  Other than those two, I love all my clubs.

If I had a mickey of "Canadian Club" and a 6-pack of "Club" in my golf bag, it would be a two-way tie for "Worst Club in my bag".

I don't know why anyone would even carry a club they believed would be their worst. I can hit every club in my bag. If I couldn't hit one of them I would find one I could.

Sounds logical, but my 3 W is quite suspicious.  there will be time I will strike it like I knew what I was doing and and get 230-250..then, a push, pull ot just plain FAT..perhaps 100 yds.  not knowing what the outcome is a pain, but also a challange just the same.  Am working to perfect it, but right now its anyones guess what the result will be, but not enough to throw it in the creek.....yet!!!

Putter. Right now it's an old ping zing 2 with an old crusty chapped-lip grip. Belongs to my dad (he's letting me borrow it) and is bent retardedly upright, like 4 or 5 degrees. I'll have to make it work until I can pick up a new anser next month.

Which club is your best club, or are they all exactly equal?
