My bag right now is a beast! I'm looking for something that isn't huge and doesn't feel like I'm lugging around a large travel suitcase. I liked the last nike bag I had, but it went out with the clubs and now I'm looking fo a nice quality light bag. Suggestions?

thanks

You need to give a little more information. How many clubs do you want to carry in this bag? Will you be walking, riding, or some of both? For a light weight bag you can start with the Sun Mountain 3.5 or the Titleist Light Weight bag. There are so many good bags out there though.

Ok, no problem. If I'm walking I'll have my pull cart, so I guess I don't need the full shoulder strap setup, but a single shoulder strap would be nice. Not sure if smaller light bags are harder to strap in on a cart, but I'd like to go on a cart too. The kick stand things too for when I'm just at the range too.  Eventually I'd like to carry 5 ,6 ,7 ,8 ,9 , PW, AW, SW, 4 Hybrid, Driver and Putter. So there's 11, and maybe 3 wood so 12 clubs.

thanks!

I have a Mizuno AeroLite IV Bag , it works well so far as it has plenty of space for my clubs etc and looks nice.  The only thing is the shoulder strap, it has some kind of foam insert.  I usually carry it on one shoulder and after about 5 rounds it squished to a point that it will no longer go back to normal and is therefore not as comfortable as it was initially.

Not as high tech, but very, very classy are the bags from McKennon and Mackenzie. MacKenzie does make a ballistic nylon version of their classic Walker for around $200. I think it is available through thewalkinggolfer blog and possibly directly from MacKenzie, though not listed on their website.  Both McKennon and MacKenzie make classy handsewn leather walkers in virtually any color you want. They are beautiful but unfortunately about $650-700. They are on my wish list but too expensive right now.

What's your price range? for the money, I'd say Ogio has some nice bags but the feet are a bit small (can dig into soft turf). Every club OEM has at least one good candidate (I liked the Cleveland and PING bags but not their colour schemes).  My choice was a Sun Mountain four.5, because of the club arrangement, and being familiar with previous versions. It was a little pricey though.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

My price range is between $100-$175. I don't want a "super nice bag". But I'd take something between 2.5 and 4 pounds. So far the Sun Mountain Swift X is looking nice. I like the shoulder straps, the kick stand, the colors available, the weight, and the color.

I'm stuck right now between buying the new bag, or getting a 4 hybrid, I can only get one at this time. It's just my bag now has the cingle shoulder strap and is really big and bulky. Switching from graphite irons to steel irons added some weight too.

Lots of good ones....Ogio Vaporlite (have it and love it; plus a good price), Mizuno Aerolite, Titleist Ultra-Lightweight, Ping 4 Under  (bit pricey).
