This year it's < 1 yard on our par 3 15th. I didn't look at pin position or tee placement, I just dropped a ball and hit it. The ball mark was about a foot away. The ~3-footer lipped out and then I almost missed the comebacker for par.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Best? probably only about 150 yards (137 meters). Average? about 135 Yards (123 meters)

Go find a huge paved parking lot and I bet you could easily hit a 400+ yard 9 iron.

It doesn't really matter at your skill level how far you hit ANY of your clubs. What IS important though is keeping the ball in play...for the record though, I hit my 9 135 yds on a consistent basis.

The War Sticks:

Wedges: Cleveland CG14 52*, 56*

Putter: An old Ram Laser...lol...but it works

I apologise if I sounded a bit contrite, those were not my intentions...

I play a 9 normally from 135-145yds, depending on the type of shot needed. I 'may' still be able to hit it 150, but it wouldn't be very accurate...

In the Bag

Ping i15 8* Diamana Whiteboard

Titleist 909f3 13.5* Aldila NV

Ping S57 3-PW KBS C-taper

Macgregor 52, 56, and 60 wedges

SC Newport 2.5

    • Listened to Joe on the Sweet Spot while driving to work and it reminded me about this thread.   This thread is great and the “how to” is much easier to understand than other sources I’ve seen trying to explain it. Tried it indoors into a net but will need to give it a shot with a launch monitor or outside on the practice green.
    • I hear ya. The defacto leadership seems to have cost him at many levels including his day job performance and nari a dime to show for it.
    • Ok, it's been a while, but I finally got the 18th hole! It was the only one left over from last year and it took 14 months, but I got it today. It is a slight dogleg right, plays 425 up to an elevated green into the prevailing wind. Playing slightly up, I hit driver and had about 160 into the green. Hit 6 iron to 4 feet and with a straight uphill putt made it center cut! Now I can stop thinking about that hole!  All I have left this year is 5, 15, and 17.  Let's Go!
    • He’s just tired of fighting. And being asked. And just tired.
    • Yeah, that's what most of the guys there were saying. I'm guessing they weren't able to cut them due to all the rain. Or maybe they are growing really fast and since we tee'd off at 6PM... 😜
