New Community Director Mike McLoughlin (October 1, 2011)

Before I state the obvious, I'd first like to thank Alan Olson for his service as our Community Director for the past several months. Alan filled in a great hole and provided some great services to the members of this forum. He's just transitioned to a new "real life" job, and will still be an active member of the site and the forum, but I'd like to wish Alan well at this time with his new job and his new-found free time. ;-)

I'd also like to welcome Mike McLoughlin on board as our new Community Director. Mike will expand upon the role Alan filled and will be the primary point of contact for contests, promoting interesting (and often under-utilized) features of the forum, promoting the posts and threads and member-created content, and thus promoting the members themselves. Mike has some great ideas on how to continue to grow The Sand Trap and to make it even greater.

No doubt many of you have seen Mike on other forums as "mvmac," and perhaps even his YouTube channel . You know and understand that Mike has a brilliant passion for golf, the golf swing, and for communicating with like-minded folks!

Please join me in welcoming Mike to his new role and position. Welcome aboard, matey!

Thanks very much Erik!  I'm very excited to take on this role and look forward to making The Sand Trap even better.

Little bit about me.  I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and played golf for USF.  I've always tried to keep improving as a player and that is what led me to "meeting" Erik online and finding Golf Evolution.  I've literally gone from one of the first evolvr students to now doing online analyses.

My Dad also owned and ran a golf store near the SF airport, so I grew up a big golf equipment geek.  Always been partial to Ping though :)

If anyone has any ideas or feedback they'd like to share, feel free to message me.
