It has got to be Tour Edge... any company that can put a lifetime warranty on their clubs must make them pretty darn well.

You are going to get a variety of responses to this as the question is impossible to answer because there is no correct answer.

Here are my opinions though. Drivers: Titleist (both long and durable) Irons: Mizuno (mmmm.. butter) Wedges: Cleveland (they have been built on their wedge quality) Putter: Scotty Cameron or Ping Balls: Titleist Pro V1 series Edit* Forgot Bags: PING BAGS! I have watched a kid pick his up, throw it on the ground, and then drop kick it! The stand still worked and his clubs were just fine. --Now that's quality--

I would agree.

I don't know of any other brands that give that.

All of the large club makers and the top quality custom component companies are very good the biggest problem I see with the large makers is mass production. You know it's funny, based on how many clubs are avalible on ebay I would say most people would be better served investing in professional fitting and custom made clubs. I think in the long run you would spend less and gain more.....bwgolfer

Agreed, although some makers are a little more consistent on cosmetic issues and getting lofts and lies exactly right. Basic quaility durability is the best it has ever been.

For Irons....Ben Hogan. Bring any for spec inspection and you will find the lie and loft are absolutely true to specs. Finish...hard to beat that forged mirror finish and fit.

Woods...I would say Titleist.

Wedges....Callaway wedges. Heck...Roger Cleveland is overseeing the wedge operations since he sold his company off. Hard to beat forged wedges. Non forged...probably a tie between Cleveland and Vokeys.

Putters.... Scotty and Pings.

Bags.... Ogio.

I think this is a very subjective topic. It's like who makes the best quality car. You might argue BMW, but then Lexus has had less quality problems. Then the BMW owner would argue that Lexus (with the exception of the new LS430h) is not on par with the branding of BMW. Then I would argue that anything is better than Jaguar, and that's why I traded that damn Ford in...

Off the rack, it's going to be TM or Ping.  I voted for Ping, more options for custom fitting, quality control and durable stuff.

If I had my choice, I'd go either Titleist or TaylorMade... However, all of the major companies make good quality clubs and it'd be hard to go wrong with any of them.  What it comes down to more than anything is style and personal preference.

Well, this is really like asking one which fruit is the best overall, apple or pear. Choosing golf clubs is really a matter of personal preference. So, different people will have different opinions on what brand of golf clubs is the best, since no one will or can start up from absolute scratch to experience all brands of clubs and get solid taste of every club. When one becomes a regular player, he has already got used to or been customized to a specific brand of clubs. This is not to say there is no scope of brands to choose. There is a limited group of manufacturers consistently making good quality clubs for sure. These are Titleist, Ping, Mizuno, TaylorMade, Cleveland, Callaway, Nike, and Cobra. Maybe, Adams can be added into the list. My personal preference will be Mizuno irons and Cobra driver and woods. I always say to my friends that buying golf clubs is just like one buying cars. If you like Lincoln, Cadillac or Mercede, go for Titleist or Ping. If you like wider choices of regular cars, go for TaylorMade, Callaway or Cleveland. If you like Chrysler, go for Cobra or Adams. What if I like Infiniti or Lexus, those high end Japanese cars? I go for Mizuno.

Especially in the irons. Today, all the top brands (maybe with the exception of TM) make at least one model I could play - as long as I had the proper shafts.

How does the bank lose money? Is inflation that bad that the 30,000 euros of interest is not enough to cover it? Is it because the bank no longer has that money at their disposal to invest for a potentially larger return on their investment when compared to a mortgage?

paradoxal bank fact : in our banks in france if you take a mortgage of 100 000 euros for 20 years at 2,5 interest rate you will probably pay close to 30 000 euros of interest. this seams huge to customers. nevertheless the bank might loose money or have à max a 200 euros margin per year. the only way we make money is on the mortgage insurance policy part and getting a long time customer in the bank.

    • Myrtle Beach in early March part duex
Okay I think you may be a little confused on your location...You said that you are staying at Holiday Sands North close to the Boardwalk.  Your Hotel is centrally located in Myrtle Beach.  A lot of people not familiar of the area mistakenly think that "North Myrtle Beach" is referring to an area in the Northern part of Myrtle Beach.  Actually it is a separate city that is located a good ten miles from where you are staying.  The closest "North Myrtle Beach" courses to you would be the Barefoot Resort courses which are about 13 miles from you and are considered higher end courses where you will be paying probably around $125 per round to play unless you book a package deal or play with a member.  The next closest North Myrtle Beach courses which are mid-tiered and a little more price friendly that may seem to be what you are looking for are a little farther north into North Myrtle located probably about 15 to 17 miles from where you are staying.   The closest courses to where you are staying include Myrtlewood, Pine Lakes Country Club, River Oaks Plantation, World Tour, and the Legends courses.  All are probably right within the amount of travel time that you are looking at.  I would second the earlier poster that you contact @bnlongdriver.  Tell him (Brian) what you are looking for and he will set you up nicely.  I would definitely avoid GolfNow for anything related to Myrtle Beach.  Very few courses down there work with Golf Now and the few that do are lower tiered courses that you probably wouldn't want to play as there are many better choices for the money that you will be playing.  Looks like you will be going right as the peak golf season is starting to get underway so last minute deals, although probably available, will be a bit more difficult to come by.  However, if this is the route that you want to take, again I would contact Brian as he has the ability to get a lot of very good "48 hour" rates.  If you go ahead and contact him now and let him know that's the way you want to go, he will be able to keep you in mind and as the time of your arrival nears will have a better idea of what to find you.
