2) 12 years, but only the past 3 seriously

3) 9-10 GIR on average

7) Over 100. Had a stretch in July where I was lucky enough to play every day for 4 straight weeks almost.

These stats go back to the beginning of 2010, so don't really reflect at all my score if I were to go out and play right now. Especially the handicap index, which would be muuuuuuuch higher if I'd played more than a half-dozen rounds this year. 1) HC: 1.3. Lowest I got it was .1 two years ago, but that's when I was playing much more frequently, and that masked a lot of the issues I had. 2) Played seriously for about 9 years. 3) 10-11 GIR 4) 9.8 FIR 5) 32 putts 6) 12.6 holes of par or better per round. 7) Way too few. Hopefully many more in 2014. EDIT: Changed FIR number. I had the percentage number and multiplied it by 18 to get 12.5. Of course, there are generally 14 fairways on a golf course, not 18.
1)   7.3  (lowest during the year - and ever so far - was 6.8) 2)   Off and on for >25 years  100% "on" for the last 2 3)  7.4 GIR 4)  6.2 FIR 5)  32-33 putts 6)  50% par or better 7)  40-45 rounds in last 12 months
Whoops ... I made the same mistake as Jamo originally ... My fairways are actually 4.8 per round. ;)

It's been a disappointing year as both my GIR and putts have worsened over last year. I'm hoping that a recent lesson from my local teaching pro will help my ball striking going forward.

Give yourself more credit.  Typically there are 14 fairways so you hit 60%

Unless he's counting the greens as "Fairway" on the par 3s ??

This is an intersting thread. I wish I kept stats because it would be useful to measure against those of a similar standard and those who are better than me. I may start doing it. The only other thing that would be interesting to see would be how many time a week do you practice(off course).

    • Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
