For all those guys who think they will become PGA tour players just because they practice a lot, take note.  Both of these guys were phenoms at an early age. They have been struggling for around 10 years, beating the bushes and the minitours. It's really not a bed of roses.

Nice write-up about Potter, Jr by Stephanie Wie (and then she rambles too)

Cinderella story - missed the cut 24/24 times in 2004 on the Nationwide; then wins the Nationwide South Georgia Classic by Monday qualifier, wins again and earns a PGA tour card for 2012.

Players play, tough players win!

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I would like to give a special shout out to my TST fantasy picks of Webb Simpson and Ken Duke.  Way to cough up a hairball on the back nine guys.

Did anyone notice that the week before their playoff, Potter beat Kelly by 3 shots at the Web.com Tour`s United Leasing Championship at Victoria National Golf Club in 51st and 58th place (14 and 17 shots out of the playoff)

- T58 T39 USA Troy Kelly SC P 7 F * 6 69 71 75 79 294

I watched the TV telecast and did not remember hearing this mentioned.  Although they made some reference to them both being on the Web.com/NW Tour last year, they seemed fixated on mentioning how little they both won on the PGA Tour.

Just shows you how close the level of play is on the two Tours and how quick a guy`s game can turn around with Tiger and Phil failing to make the weekend and Potter winning after missing his 5 previous cuts.
