The R&A needs to rethink The British Open course rotation

2017 or later, no date set yet.

The last Open there was excellent, the previous one had a dramatic conclusion but much of the golf that went before it was rubbish.

They fertilised the rough made the fairways ridiculously narrow and then wondered why the pro's hated when the weather was shit.

News just in, it is still lashing it down in the UK - Lytham's rough is going to be lush, and there will be no hard links style fairways. Long and straight will be needed.
