It's certainly a plus, but not required.  I am an engineer so numbers are my game usually, thus I like to see various results, but in the end trackman/flightscope are a small reason for me to choose an instructor.

I voted not important, but only because I don't know anyone who has one.  I've been on flightscope before and I can see the huge value of having something like trackman.
