I've been Playing Golf for: ~5 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 9.0

My typical ball flight is: Small Fade

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Pull

I generally hit the ball on-line, but periodically will struggle with a pull or even pull draw.  My major issue have more to do with lack of distance than directional errors.  For ref, I hit my driver about 240yds and 7-iron 150yds.

Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated

  • 2 weeks later...

A couple more swing videos (the DL vid is not the best-sorry).

I am working to try and get the club back a little more down the line (as opposed to way inside).  Hopefully this will give me some more room to work the club from inside-out.

A secondary swing thought I am working with now is to slide the hips but keep my upper body behind the ball and release the club.

Both are a work in progress.

As always any comments/critiques are welcome and appreciated.

Like in the down the line videos you want to have your left arm hidden behind your right longer.

Thanks very much for the swing thought.  I will work to implement it during the next range session.

A couple videos shot yesterday.

I have had a couple good sessions with my instructor and am seeing improvement in my contact and ball flight.  I am still working hard to take the club away straighter, this is proving to be the most difficult part of the swing changes we are working on currently.

As always and comments are appreciated.

Videos from last weekend.  Working hard to improve posture.

I also need to get my hands a little closer to my body, I am hoping this will allow me to move the club back more down the line and less inside.

Any thoughts or comments on the swing?

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
