Smash factor only 1.37? Is it "jacked up" because you don't swing 115?

What's the point of this thread exactly? I ask only because historically they've not gone well.

The point is that I loved the sound and thought I would share. As for the numbers, I found them odd but really, I don't get hung up on them. I find a club that feels good, take it to the course and judge it on it's performance.

You've stated that I don't swing 110, I just repeated what the trackman listed when I got fitted for a driver. I have no idea what my true swing speed is, but I have a garage full of long drive prizes from various scrambles and I know that I wear out wedges and short irons more than mid to long irons.

If I had to bet my life on driver distance, I would say that my average distance is around 280 yds.

But hey, the real point is the wonderful sound of club hitting ball then the visual of ball go far!

Blessings for a great 2013.

Your swing speed didn't look/sound that fast. If you can pull off 280yrds with that speed I should easily go 300+.

My swing speed is not 115. Avg. ss is 102 - 104. As for carry and total distance, all I can say is that I know my yardages pretty well and avg. carry is around 250 - 260.  I have hit many drives in excess of 300 yds. Anyway, the point was simply the sound of the video. The swing is not a hard swing it is what I would call a 75% swing. Just smooth.

Yeah, it has a nice sound.  I find that my best drives, and the best drives of my playing partners, are actually the quietest. I can really tell when I hit a bad drive because it makes the loudest, harshest sound.

Depends on the driver, i've had driver's that were really quiet, and drivers really loud. My Ping G10 would seriously hurt my ears sometimes with how loud it got on really solid hits. Titleist is way more quiet and softer sounding.

What's that green stuff on the ground?

I was wondering the same myself. I think it is a requirement to play that game...uh what's it called..golf?

Justagood,

Was that just the camera's mic?  I love the sound they make on Tour.

Anyone know what kind of microphones they use on Tour?  I've seen the rig on but they have those giant fuzzy wind screens on them.  A great directional mic can make a huge difference in sound.  I use one for recording guitar.
